My students know how much I believe in doing a business plan. Not unlike a lot of the things I believe in — like learning from history — that’s kind of out of vogue right now. Many think you can’t predict the future anyway, so why try? They say all that work on a business plan is just a waste of time, it’s out of date the minute you finish it. Here’s my reasons for disagreeing. (Sorry if this sound is a little low, I accidentally hit a switch on the sound system so you will have to turn it up a bit.)
