In June 2012, I gave a keynote talk at the BlogWorldExpo at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, which is held in conjunction with the big Book Expo. My talk was a continuation of my series of “industry histories,” but this time I tackled the two men I think of as the most important media innovators of the 20th century. I couldn’t do everybody, so I picked these two. I am sure any student of the history of the media business would have their own candidates. But these two were certainly giants of innovation, and their names are being forgotten because they did not name their companies after themselves. Like my other history talks, this one is very visual, with lots of pictures. I hope you enjoy this video and share it with your friends!
